Manuscript Template

The International Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering Research (IJECER) requires all submissions to be prepared using the official manuscript template. Authors must strictly follow the formatting and structural guidelines below to ensure a smooth peer review and publication process.

1. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts must be organized in the following order:

  • Title
  • Abstract (maximum 250 words)
  • Keywords (3–6 keywords)
  • Introduction
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgements (if applicable)
  • Funding Statement (if applicable)
  • Conflict of Interest Statement
  • Ethics Approval Statement (if applicable)
  • Data Availability Statement
  • References

All section headings must be clearly labeled and formatted according to the IJECER template.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review Requirements

IJECER applies a double-blind peer review system. To ensure anonymity during review:

  • The main manuscript file must NOT contain author names or affiliations.
  • Authors must remove acknowledgements and identifying self-citations from the review version.
  • Author details must be uploaded separately as a Title Page file.

Failure to anonymize the manuscript may result in desk rejection or return for correction.

3. Formatting Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt.
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
  • All tables and figures must be numbered and titled.
  • Figures must be submitted in high resolution.

4. Research Ethics and Consent

For studies involving human participants or animals:

  • An Ethics Committee Approval Statement must be included.
  • An Informed Consent Statement must be provided where required.

If the study does not involve human or animal subjects, authors must include a statement declaring this.

5. Similarity and Plagiarism Policy

All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., iThenticate).

  • Total similarity index must be less than 20%.
  • Similarity from any single source must be less than 3%.
  • Direct copying, improper paraphrasing, self-plagiarism, and citation manipulation are unacceptable.

Manuscripts exceeding these thresholds may be rejected or returned for revision.

6. Data Availability Statement

Authors are encouraged to include a Data Availability Statement specifying:

  • Whether data are publicly available (provide repository link if applicable)
  • Available upon reasonable request
  • Not publicly available due to ethical or legal restrictions

7. Conflict of Interest and Funding Disclosure

All authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest. If there is no conflict, authors must state:

"The authors declare no conflict of interest."

All sources of financial support must be clearly acknowledged.

8. Reference Style

IJECER uses a numeric reference style consistent with the journal’s official template. Citations in text should be numbered in square brackets in the order of appearance. The reference list should be organized numerically.

Examples:

  • [1] J. K. Author and A. B. Writer, “Title of the article,” Journal Name, vol. 12, no. 3, pp. 45–53, 2020.
  • [2] A. B. Researcher, Title of Book, 2nd ed. City, Country: Publisher, 2018.
  • [3] C. D. Expert, “Conference paper title,” in Proc. Name of Conf., City, Country, Year, pp. xx–yy.

This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, reproduction, and adaptation in any medium, provided appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source.
